The BCIA is pleased to note that members of the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance continue to be in high compliance with the laws and regulations in their markets. There were three baby carrier recalls in 2025, and we are pleased to say that neither recall involved a BCIA member business.
We searched two major recall databases for this article — the US saferproducts.gov website and the EU SafetyGate website.

Reminder: Anyone can lodge a complaint on saferproducts.gov. The complaints are not necessarily verified for accuracy. A complaint does not mean the facts are accurate, and even when the facts are accurate, the complaint does not mean that the carrier is dangerous. When the CPSC believes a carrier to be dangerous, they take additional steps to recall a product, issue an advisory against it, or some other action.
It is also important to note that there are many knockoff brands, counterfeits, and fly-by-night carrier manufacturers who adopt product names similar to well-known and long-established brands. Please be thoughtful when referencing these reports in relation to a particular brand — do your due diligence to ensure it’s the actual brand in question.
It is still wise to monitor the complaints and issues reported on the site to look for patterns that might offer you information about the products you make, sell, or educate about. Staying apprised of data such as this will help you both avoid and stay aware of baby carrier recalls or potential hazards.
